Hey Teach, can you text me the homework?

I am not sure how I feel about it, but maybe for important announcements and homework, since students do love their phones...

"SendHub is the latest group text messaging system that I've discovered. To use SendHub give people the opt-in code to join your contact list. Once people opt-in you can put them into a group within your account. Then when you have a message for a group you can send it out to all members of that group without sending the message to your entire contact database."

  1. SendHub might work for teachers as students will probably opt-in. I'm not sure if how it will work for the general public.

How does SendHub compare to the "old" technology Listserv?

  2. I am not 100% sure as I have never used List serv. Although they are both an interesting idea:)

  3. Thanks for sharing Sara, This can be very useful for a more efficient way keeping up to date with students or in my case players. As a coach I'm constantly communicating with my players.

I believe the use of this SendHub, improves the ease of putting together a distribution list. Saves me time and allows students or players to stay in the loop with little reminders and comments.

However, the sender better have a healthy respected relationship with the receivers of the messages. I probally will not use it for all classes or teams. Only the ones I see and know well.

    Thanks again.
